Introduction
The 505S Cable Identifier, also known as the Cable Identifier, Multi-functional Cable Identifier, and Smart Cable Identifier, is designed to address technical cable identification challenges for electrical cable engineers and electricians. Users can accurately identify a specific target cable from among multiple cables using the instrument, thus preventing serious accidents caused by mistakenly cutting live cables. Cable identification begins at the ends of the cable, ensuring the dual numbering at both ends is accurate and error-free. This instrument employs PSK technology in conjunction with precise algorithms. No matter how reliable the memory of on-site staff, it cannot replace the identification capabilities of professional equipment. This product also features live cable identification, power-off cable identification, AC current testing, and AC voltage testing. It is composed of a transmitter, a transmitting current clamp, a receiver, and a receiving flexible current clamp.
Transmitter: Emits signals to the target cable during live cable identification and power-off cable identification. Equipped with a high-capacity rechargeable lithium battery, automatic impedance matching, and full automatic protection. The transmitter features an integrated, specialized toolbox design, made from polypropylene plastic with a new composite filling material, injection-molded in one piece. It boasts low density, high strength, rigidity, hardness, wear resistance, heat resistance, and superior insulating properties, with its housing capable of withstanding approximately...The machine features a large LCD screen displaying the remaining battery power in real-time, with a 200kg pressure capacity, white backlight, and dynamic signal indication for easy visibility.
Clamping Tool: During cable identification, the clamping tool couples the signal emitted by the transmitter to the target cable, with the clamp sizeΦ120mm, directional firing clamp; the signal emitted flows into the clamp from the arrowhead indicating direction.
During electrical identification: Utilizing clamp-coupled output pulse current, emitting four frequencies:625Hz, 1562Hz, 2500Hz, and 10kHz frequencies are coupled to the target cable (a three-core armored cable) via an emitting clamp. This injects a composite pulse current signal into the cable cores, generating an electromagnetic field around the target cable for detection and identification by the receiver and flexible current clamp; due to the directional nature of the pulse current, the detection is also directional.

During power outage detection: A direct output pulse current is utilized to inject pulse-coded current signals into the cable cores, generating an electromagnetic field around the target cable for the receiver and flexible current clamp to detect, decode, and identify. Due to the directional nature of the current, the detection process is also directional.
Handheld Device: Receiver3.5-inch color LCD screen, featuring an internal high-speed microprocessor, combined with precise algorithms to identify and decode the pulse-coded current signals from the transmitter. It also has a signal strength calibration function, displaying signal strength and detection results in a beautiful and intuitive manner; a color scale bar dynamically shows the readings, making it clear at a glance. It successfully identifies target cables with a checkmark (√) and non-target cables with an "x," enabling rapid automatic cable recognition. Additionally, it can test voltage ranges from AC 0.00V to 600V (50Hz/60Hz), AC current ranges from 0.00A to 5000A (50Hz/60Hz), and current frequencies from 45Hz to 70Hz.
Flexible Current Clamp: For Rutherford coil, highlyJade's transient tracking capability quickly identifies pulse-coded current generated by transmitters, suitable for thick cables or irregularly shaped conductors. Its jaw diameter is approximately 200mm, capable of clamping cables with a diameter of up to Φ200mm, without interrupting the measured line. Non-contact measurement ensures safety and speed.
Special Note: This cable identifier is equipped with both live cable identification and power-off cable identification functions. During power-off cable identification, it is strictly prohibited to connect it with live cables. Live cable identification is applicable only to three-core armored cables. During identification, the transmitting clamp and receiving clamp must not be interchanged, and the consistency of the input signal direction must be ensured.
