Currently, conventional QJ44 dual-armed DC bridges are widely used in the power system for measuring contact resistance, but the test current of such bridges is only in the mA range, making it difficult to detect defects such as a reduction in the cross-sectional area of the conductor in the circuit. When measuring the contact resistance of high-voltage switch conductive circuits, the measurement values are several times larger due to the influence of the oil film and oxidation layer between the contacts, failing to accurately reflect the actual contact resistance.

Therefore, the Power Department standard DL/T845.4-2004 "General Technical Conditions for Resistance Measurement Devices: Loop Resistance Meters" and the new verification regulation JJG1052-2009 "Verification Regulation for Loop Resistance Meters and Direct Resistance Meters" stipulate that the measuring current for contact resistance of switches (isolated), circuit breakers, etc. must not be less than DC 100A, and the current maintenance time must not be less than 60 seconds to ensure accurate test results.

The ED0303B-100 contact resistance tester features an ergonomic operation panel, designed to accommodate user habits. It utilizes high-frequency switching power supply and digital circuit technology, suitable for measuring the circuit resistance of switch control devices.

The test current utilizes the national standard-recommended direct current of 100A. The loop resistance can be directly measured at 100A DC, with test results displayed on a large-screen LCD. It features data storage, output printing, and time setting functions. Additionally, a 50A range is available for user selection; custom test times can be set up to 599 seconds, significantly exceeding the standard's 60-second requirement. It is a domestically produced contact resistance tester that achieves a 0.01μΩ resolution and is highly stable, outperforming imported high-current micro-ohmmeters.
