Introduction to Steel Grating

Also known as steel grating or grating plate, it is a type of steel product made by crossing flat steel bars at certain intervals with crossbars, then welded together to form a square-grid pattern in the middle. It is primarily used for drain covers, steel structure platform panels, and steps for steel ladders. The crossbars are typically made of twisted square steel.

Manufacturing Process of Steel Grating: Steel grating is made by welding load-bearing flat bars and cross bars at specified intervals using a 200-ton hydraulic resistance welding automation system to form the original plate. It is then processed through cutting, drilling, and edging to meet customer requirements. Spacing of Load-bearing Flat Bars: The common spacing between adjacent load-bearing flat bars is 30, 40, 50, and more. Spacing of Cross Bars: The typical spacing between adjacent cross bars is 50, 76, 80, 100, and more, which can be produced according to customer specifications and customized for various steel grating models as per customer needs.
