Designer's Design Concept: New Naturalism DesignerJiang JianyeExpert in using New Naturalism to design inviting and natural spaces, their works evoke a natural psychological response from the audience, as if there is no design yet it feels designed. They offer insights into living in harmony with nature, bringing life back to the natural rural environment, and making the space more ecological and environmentally friendly.
In his view, for a home, factors like practicality, durability, and eco-friendliness are more important than style and creativity!
The homeowners in this case are a mature, sophisticated couple of musicians and their adorable daughter. The theme of the case is natural minimalism, complemented by Scandinavian style elements, creating a refreshing, bright, and warm atmosphere. With the property management's consent, a sunroom was expanded to the south, achieving a close connection between the living space and sunlight, allowing for an abundance of warmth even in winter.
The overall layout is well-balanced, with a color scheme predominantly featuring light and clean hues. It supports a Scandinavian rustic style with furniture and local grays, enlivened by active curves in table and chair designs, wall niches, and other shapes, creating a room that lacks neither texture nor a natural, comfortable feel.
Functionally, the design starts from the room owner's taste to meet their living needs, blending modern simplicity with functionality and comfort. The living room is a place for socializing and entertaining guests, a key area to showcase the room owner's taste. Therefore, the living room incorporates a retro style within its minimalist elegance, enhancing its depth. The sofa backdrop features a gray wallpapered wall and hangs a set of decorative oil paintings, setting an artistic tone. Additionally, the rustic charm of Scandinavian solid wood furniture creates a natural and harmonious living room environment, exuding vitality and energy.
The sunroom is a major highlight in the "Natural Symphony." The background wall of the sunroom is tiled with floor tiles, featuring simple geometric lines that complement the walls, offering warmth without being too monotonous. The harmonious color scheme provides a sense of comfort. The designer specifically designed a custom iron plate set in deep gray, inspired by the owner's frequent travels for performances and tourism, where they collect locally特色的 fridge magnets (the daughter's love). This serves as a display and a tribute to their past experiences.
The homeowner's daughter's bedroom walls feature a light pink color that appeals to girls, with the room predominantly in warm tones and a simple, cute style. It's neat and cozy, avoiding excessive decoration, which is beneficial for the child's physical and mental development. The master bedroom of the room's owner blends traditional patterns with a luxurious style, creating a sense of comfort and tranquility.
Overall, this case emphasizes New Naturalism, simplicity, and reasonableness. It specifically manifests through smooth lines that outline the taste of the room's owner.
