A typical three eccentric pneumatic butterfly valve, in addition to the valve stem and valve plate having two eccentricities, the sealing surfaces of the valve plate and seat are in an oblique spherical cone shape (the third eccentricity of the so-called three eccentricities). When the valve is closed, the valve plate is pushed forward due to the eccentricity, and there is no friction between the valve plate and seat during the closing process. The valve plate is directly pressed onto the seat, ensuring the valve's service life. Furthermore, since the sealing rings of this type of valve (whether mounted on the seat or plate) have some elasticity, and there is a slight gap between the boss inside the elastic ring and the ring itself, allowing for slight displacement of the elastic ring. When the valve closes, under the force of the closing action, the elastic seal ring automatically moves to the position with the most even force distribution. Combined with the slight deformation of the elastic ring, the sealing ring at the seat is uniformly subjected to force, achieving the optimal sealing condition.
