The E•Prod scientific instrument series features the GC-7860 DW gas chromatography (GC) system for gas analysis, which consists of three channels. Channel A is equipped with one sample injection ten-way valve featuring a backflush function.

2. Composed of three chromatographic columns and a TCD detector, it analyzes and detects components such as H2, CO2, CO, N2, O2, and C1; Column 1 is used to backflush and vent components above C2, and pre-separate the mixed components (H2, CO, N2, O2, C1) as well as CO2. Column 2 further separates these components. After the mixed components enter Column 3, Valve 2 operates to change the column sequence, and CO2 is backflushed to the TCD detector. The mixed components then flow out after the column and enter the TCD detector. If helium is used as the carrier gas, the total content of oxygen and argon can be obtained.

Channel B consists of a sample ten-way valve 3 and a chromatographic column, used for detecting and analyzing components such as H2/He. After H2 and He pass through the chromatographic column, the ten-way valve resets and backflushes the remaining components to shorten the analysis time.

Channel C

Option 1: Comprises an automatic sampling six-way valve 4 and an order-changing six-way valve 5, along with two capillary chromatography columns. After sampling, most of the sample is vented through the分流injection port, while a small amount passes through valve 5 into column 5. Components before C5 are first eluted from column 5 into column 6, where they are retained. When components above C6 in column 5 have not yet eluted, valve 5 switches to backflush position, changing the order of columns 5 and 6. The portion above C6 is then flushed out, passed through the FID for detection, and its total content of alkane above C6 is determined. Components before C5 are separated in column 6 and sequentially detected by the FID.

Option Two: Comprises an automatic sample valve, an Al2O3 capillary chromatography column, and a FID detector, capable of analyzing and detecting C1-C6 in mixed gases.

If testing for C3-C14 or H2S, COS, CH3SH, (CH3)2S, etc., the configuration will vary.

Data processing and quantificationNatural GasCompleted with a dedicated workstation, generating parameters such as calorific values (molar, mass, volume), relative density, and Viscosity index for each component, with valve switching performed by the chromatography instrument's main unit.

Minimum detection concentrations for each component: permanent gases 0.005% to 100%; organic hydrocarbons 1 ppm to 100%.
