　　Gate Valve Overview

The VTON imported flanged gate valve by USA Weidun features low fluid resistance, minimal impact erosion on the sealing surface, maintains the medium flow direction without disturbance, and has a small pressure drop. It is suitable for a wide range of pressure and temperature, commonly used as a cutoff valve and widely applicable in oil and gas, chemical, and thermal power plants for connecting or cutting off mediums in steam and water pipelines. (Not to be used as a throttle valve.)

Gate valves where the gate moves linearly with the valve rod are known as rising stem gate valves (also called exposed stem gate valves). Typically, the rising stem has a trapezoidal thread, which converts rotational motion into linear motion through the nut at the top of the valve and the guide slots on the valve body, thereby transforming the operating torque into operating thrust. In some valves, the nut of the valve rod is mounted on the gate plate. When the handwheel is turned, it drives the valve rod to rotate, lifting the gate, which type of valve is called a rotating rod gate valve or concealed stem gate valve.
