The development of high-strength cement grouting material technology has played a significant role in the advancement of reinforcement and renovation industries. In recent years, the strength of cement grouting materials has been progressively improving, reflecting the continuous advancement of the grouting material industry and promoting the growth of reinforcement and renovation undertakings. However, the promotion and application of cement grouting materials have not reached the desired level: some manufacturers always think that using more cement will benefit the quality of cement grouting materials, which is actually a very incorrect practice.

How to apply Sikacryl Grout:
1. Prepare mixers, grouting equipment, molds, and maintenance items. Clean the grouting area and pre-wet the concrete surface.
2. Set up formwork and seal the joints with cement (sand) mortar and plastic tape to ensure no leakage or seepage.
3. Add water to the slurry at 12-15% of its weight and mix (mechanical mixing for 2-3 minutes, manual mixing for over 5 minutes).
4. Pour the well-mixed grouting material into the grouting area from one direction. Use bamboo sticks or steel rods for guidance if necessary, and gently vibrate or tap the formwork to compact the material.
5. After completion of construction, immediately cover with a plastic film and then cover with straw mats or cotton blankets for 3-7 days of moist curing.
6. Operating Temperature

The timing of the drying shrinkage cracking period in Sikacryl grouting materials and the associated challenges have long been anticipated. People have been striving to create an ideal grouting material that does not undergo water loss and drying shrinkage, but due to the objective limitations of porous materials, this issue cannot be fundamentally resolved. Instead, improvements are made based on the understanding of capillary pore theory. For the current silicate cement system, establishing sufficient compressive stress under restricted conditions is essential to effectively compensate for the shrinkage stress caused by water loss later on, which is an effective and economical technical measure to prevent grouting material shrinkage and cracking. Numerous studies and engineering practices have shown that low-expansion grouting materials can delay the appearance of drying shrinkage cracks, while medium or high-expansion grouting materials can indeed prevent the occurrence of drying shrinkage cracks in grouting materials.
