Vermiculite boards, commonly known as thermal insulation boards or refractory boards, are a new type of natural, green, and environmentally friendly fire-resistant material. As an inorganic material, marine vermiculite boards are made by uniformly mixing expanded vermiculite with a certain amount of binder in a specific ratio, molding it into shape in a mold, and then formed through hot pressing or cold pressing. They have a melting point of 1370~1400°C and do not produce harmful gases to human health when heated to 1200°C, with a combustion performance reaching A1 level.
Industry Status - Overseas - Mature Applications
Marine interior lightweight materials - Vermiculite boards have been widely used since the 1960s and 1970s for filling fire doors, known as fire-resistant door cores, in countries like Australia, the U.S., and Europe. Additionally, they are extensively applied in fields such as construction, shipping, metallurgy, electricity, and aerospace abroad.
Industry Status - Domestic - Emerging Phase.
