The hollow shaft is a critical component in the ball mill, bearing the entire load of the mill and grinding media. It operates continuously under alternating stresses, making it a relatively weak and quality-control-sensitive part of the mill. Xinxiang Great Wall typically uses No. 35 cast steel in the machining and casting process, with stringent casting requirements.
Hollow shaft casting process
No casting defects such as blowholes and sand holes are allowed on the necks where the ball mill spherical lining contacts the neck and the cylinder arc. During processing, the area contacting the spherical lining must be ground after machining to ensure accuracy and finish.

Product Advantages
Xinxiang Great Wall utilizes heat treatment technology, which enhances the hollow shaft's hardness and improves its impact resistance.
2. The hollow shafts processed and matched by Xinxiang Great Wall are cast from high-strength steel. During the early stage of casting, professional engineers have optimized the process structure of the hollow shafts based on the operating characteristics of ball mills, ensuring the component's stability during long-term operation and extending its service life.
3. Xinxiang Great Wall boasts a large-scale casting base in the northern Henan region, capable of mass-producing components like hollow shafts with short cycles and high yields.
