★ Module Selection Method
★ Firstly, the customer must clearly confirm the maximum pressure range Pmax, minimum pressure range Pmin, accuracy of the inspected gauge △Inspected, and accuracy of the pressure module △Module within the pressure gauges to be inspected.
★ The accuracy of the standard gauge is 1/4th of the accuracy of the gauge being inspected, and the ratio of the gauge range to be covered by the pressure module is calculated as n; n = △gauge / (△module × 4).
★ Pressure module range selection options:
The first pressure module range P1 must be the maximum pressure Pmax, i.e., P1 = Pmax. The first pressure module P1 can cover the range of the instrument being tested, which is P1/n.
The range of the second pressure module, P2, should be selected as less than P1/n of the next range to be tested; the range that the second pressure module P2 can cover is P2/n.
The third pressure module range, P3, should select the next range to be inspected that is less than P2/n; the range covered by the third pressure module P3 is P3/n.
The fourth pressure module range P4 should select the next range to be tested that is less than P3/n; the range covered by the fourth pressure module P4 is P4/n.

Until the smallest scale Pmin of the inspected gauge is covered.
For instance:
We have a power plant with pressure transmitters ranging from -100 KPa to 60 MPa, including 5 KPa, 10 KPa, 25 KPa, 60 KPa, 100 KPa, 160 KPa, 1 MPa, 2 MPa, 6 MPa, 10 MPa, 25 MPa, 30 MPa, and 60 MPa. The highest accuracy of this batch of instruments is 0.5%. Initially, we designed the accuracy of the standard instrument to be one-fourth of the tested instrument's accuracy, and then considered it from the highest range downwards. We selected the following pressure modules as follows:
Step 1: Following the calculation method, known values are: △Checked = 0.5%, △Module = 0.05%. Therefore, confirm the range coverage ratio of the pressure module to the checked gauge range, n; n = △Checked / (△Module × 4) = 0.5% / (0.05% × 4) = 2.5.
Step 2: Select the pressure module range as per the third item in the aforementioned calculation method:
The first pressure module, P1, must be the optional 60 MPa pressure module, i.e., P1 = 60 MPa. The first pressure module, P1, can cover the range of the tested gauge, which is P1/n = 60 MPa / 2.5 = 24 MPa.
The range of the second pressure module, P2, should be selected to be less than 24MPa (P1/n = 60MPa/2.5 = 24MPa), meaning, P2 = 10MPa; The second pressure module P2 can cover a range of P2/n = 10MPa/2.5 = 4MPa on the gauge.
The third pressure module range P3 should select the next range of the inspected gauge that is less than 4MPa (P2/n = 10MPa/2.5 = 4MPa), that is, P3 = 2MPa; The third pressure module P3 can cover a range of the inspected gauge equal to P3/n = 2MPa/2.5 = 0.8MPa.
The fourth pressure module range P4 should be selected with a lower range than 0.8MPa (P3/n = 2MPa/2.5 = 0.8MPa), meaning P3 = 160KPa. The fourth pressure module P4 can cover a range of P4/n = 160KPa/2.5 = 64KPa for the tested gauge.
The range of the fifth pressure module, P5, should be less than the next range to be tested, which is 64KPa (P4/n = 160KPa/2.5 = 64KPa), meaning P5 = 60KPa; The fifth pressure module P5 can cover a range of P5/n = 60KPa/2.5 = 24KPa on the instrument being tested.
The range of the sixth pressure module, P6, should be less than the next tested range, which is 24KPa (P5/n = 60KPa/2.5 = 24KPa), meaning P6 = 10KPa. The sixth pressure module P6 can cover a tested range of P6/n = 10KPa/2.5 = 2.4KPa.
The 7th pressure module range is P7, with the final selection set to -100 KPa, P7 = -100 KPa.
Select modules from the above selection method in descending order, then match them with the YBS series precision digital pressure gauges according to your needs and usage habits.
