Overview and Applications:
The LRDD61 type cable wave radar level gauge emits high-frequency microwaves that propagate along the steel cable. Upon encountering the measured medium, a sudden change in the dielectric constant causes reflection. The time interval between the transmitted pulse and the reflected pulse is proportional to the distance of the measured medium. Additionally, the wave radar can also measure the interface between two different media, taking full advantage of the different dielectric constants of the media. However, the measurement condition is that the upper medium is non-conductive or its dielectric constant is less than one-tenth of the lower medium's dielectric constant.
