Acoustic doors are mostly made of steel. These steel doors consist of two panels with a grid-like steel reinforcement plate inserted in between, filled with sound-absorbing material inside. The panels are often made from high-quality cold-rolled steel sheets, and stainless steel sheets may also be used occasionally. The door perimeter is sealed with multi-layer rubber seals. Depending on the sound-insulating materials and sealing methods used, the sound transmission class (STC) can reach 30, 35, 40, 45 dB and above.
