ATEX Certification vs. IECEx Certification -- Shenzhen Zhongnuo Inspection & Technology Co., Ltd.
ATEX is a mandatory certification in the EU; all explosion-proof equipment sold in the EU market must comply with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EC to be eligible for sale.
IECEx is a voluntary certification, not mandatory, and is not currently recognized by the EU or North American markets. Products entering these markets require reapplication for the necessary certifications.

Currently, IECEx certification is driven by standards, which is a voluntary certification.
But the IECEx certification is well-recognized in the international market.
Most IECEx member states directly or indirectly recognize IECEx certification.
