Glare shields are traffic safety products installed on the median strip of highways to address the issue of oncoming car headlights causing glare. They are commonly set up on the guardrails of the median strip or in the middle of the guardrails, with some also placed on the central opening retractable guardrails. They are categorized by material as steel glare shields, plastic glare shields, and fiberglass glare shields. In terms of appearance, common types include straight plates, reverse S-shaped, embossed glare shields, and highway landscape glare shields.
