Glare shields are traffic safety products installed on the median strip of highways to address headlight glare from oncoming vehicles. They are commonly set up on the median guardrails or between them, and some are also installed on the central opening sliding guardrails. They are categorized by material into steel glare shields, plastic glare shields, and fiberglass glare shields. In terms of appearance, common types include straight plates, reverse S-shaped, embossed glare shields, and highway landscape glare shields.
