Guoyang Company's produced aluminum silicate boards are centrifugal aluminum silicate fiber boards (centrifugal ceramic fiber boards), which are made by mixing aluminum oxide powder (zirconia sand), silicon dioxide, and others in proportion, melted in a resistance furnace, spun off by centrifugal force, coated, settled, cured, cut, and packaged. They have good fiberization, uniform fiber diameter, and longer fiber length (average 150mm), with lower slag content (about 5-8%). As a result, the finished products have a clean white appearance, low thermal conductivity, and superior tensile and bending resistance. The overall performance is excellent, with better weather resistance, certain elasticity, ease of installation, and improved thermal insulation properties. Moreover, they can produce products with lower quality than traditional processes, meeting the needs of equipment with weight requirements for thermal insulation and refractory materials. Traditional aluminum silicate boards are not comparable to these. The dry-process aluminum silicate boards popular in the market now, many of which are produced using arc furnace blowing technology, have high slag content, generally around 30%, which can be seen just by appearance, even clumped or in sheets. The product appearance is unattractive, with uneven fiber thickness, almost no long fibers, high density, and the finished products are prone to damage. The thermal conductivity is very high. Good wet-process products, however, have very high density (above 260kg/m3) and high prices, making them suitable only for rigid refractory materials.

Mechanical aluminum silicate board specifications such as thermal conductivity and temperature resistance refer to the indicators of the standard type of aluminum silicate needled felt. Both the aluminum silicate board and the aluminum silicate needled felt are made of aluminum silicate spun fiber. The main difference is that the board has strength while the felt does not, thus they are used in different application scenarios.
