This certification is issued by the French environmental department, aimed at evaluating the impact of building materials on human health and the environment during use. It is based on the European indoor air standard ISO-16000 and uses professional precision instruments to simulate the actual indoor living environment for a continuous 28-day detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in building materials. The main detection content includes the concentration of total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) in the air and the concentration of ten common organic compounds harmful to humans.
Based on the test results, the French A+ Eco-label certification categorizes products into four grades: A+, A, B, and C, with A+ being the highest environmental grade. The A+ grade necessitates that after 28 days of use, the TVOC concentration in indoor air should be kept at an extremely low level, generally below 10 micrograms per cubic meter, and the formaldehyde concentration should not exceed 10 micrograms per cubic meter. This stringent grading system gives products that pass the A+ certification a competitive edge in environmental performance.
