Product Description:

Capture Method During indoor marker point placement for SIMI Motion 3D motion analysis system, use the automatic capture feature. Manual capture without markers, semi-automatic capture at color edges.

Indoor or outdoor conditions are complex, such as numerous occlusions due to rotational movements, and limited camera usage. A semi-automatic capture method combining automatic and manual operation is employed. When marker points cannot be used outdoors, the manual capture feature for automatically detecting color variation patches can be utilized.

Calibration Method: Select the appropriate calibration frame for different scenarios. Available 3D calibration frames include: DLT Radiation-type 3D Calibration Frame, Large Range DLT 3D Calibration Stand, Micro DLT 3D Calibration Frame, Shape DLT 3D Calibration Frame, T+L Type Magic Stick 3D Calibration Frame (with indoor and outdoor models), Calibration Plate (for lens distortion correction), and Full Range Mobile Tracking Photography Calibration System.

Software can detect and verify the accuracy of calibration data, as indicated by reports.

Number of Cameras3D data analysis requires at least two or more cameras. The SIMI Motion 3D system offers a choice of 2-8 cameras.Three-dimensional data analysis requires that both cameras capture the tracking point simultaneously to obtain the point's 3D spatial data.

Self-contained with storage and power supplyAVI high-speed cameras are very expensive, starting at over 150,000. They don't offer one-touch simultaneous capture; video needs to be imported post-production. For synchronization, an additional synchronization device is required.

Capture and Shooting Configuration Two: In situations where cable installation is not feasible, such as frequent travel, competition venues, or other special environments, an independent MP4 high-speed camera can be used. Format conversion can be performed post-event, then import into the SIMI software. Find synchronization points before using it, as the advanced conversion software offers good stability.

Due toAVI videos are uncompressed and have an extremely large data volume per second. The same second of video in AVI format and compressed formats like MP4/MOV can differ by several dozen times in data volume. They require very high hardware for transmission and storage. The AVI format has been abandoned in the consumer field, with MP4, MOV, and other compressed formats now being used. MP4 and MOV video formats must be in H.264 to be converted; otherwise, common conversion software may result in dropped frames. 

Fixed-point shooting and moving camera shots Each camera and environment must establish spatial relationships to calculate the three-dimensional position and displacement information of all tracking points within the software. Therefore, motion capture systems require fixed-point shooting. After calibration, the lens and the focal length of the camera body must not undergo any minor changes. Any variation at any stage will invalidate the data. The characteristic of fixed-point shooting is that the larger the captured object appears in the video, the higher the accuracy; conversely, the smaller the object, the lower the accuracy.

For analysis of projects involving take-off processes with a running start, spot filming is only suitable for motion analysis in small-scale spaces. To address this challenge,The SIMI Motion 3D System includes an optional "Motion Tracking Photography" module and a customizable calibration system. While in operation, the camera's lens can pan, tilt, and zoom, maintaining a larger proportion of the athlete within the frame to ensure analysis accuracy. This shooting method requires the full-field deployment of numerous measurement points in the running area to establish a specialized coordinate system.
