Production Process:
1. The straight seam welding tube production process is simple, with high efficiency, low cost, and rapid development. The strength of spiral seam tubes is generally higher than that of straight seam tubes, allowing for the production of larger diameter tubes with narrower billets and different diameter tubes with the same width billets. However, compared to tubes of the same length with straight seams, the weld length increases by 30% to 40%, and the production speed is slower.
2. For large diameter or thick-walled welded pipes, they are usually made directly from billets, whereas small or thin-walled welded pipes can be made simply by welding steel strips. After that, a simple polishing and wire drawing process is sufficient.
3. Supplementary: Welded pipes are made from strip steel, so they were not as highly regarded as seamless pipes in their original position.
