In fact, it is a manual flow control valve that can be used as a standalone manual sand adjustment valve.

The purpose of installing a maintenance valve on the air-controlled sand control valve:

1) Adjust the flow rate. After manually setting the desired amount of sand, the air-controlled sand valve below can be adjusted to allow more sand flow. In this mode, the air-controlled sand valve does not regulate the sand amount; instead, it enlarges the passage to reduce wear, serving solely as an on/off switch.

2) When the sand valve requires maintenance or sand blockage clearing, the maintenance valve can be closed. This prevents the sand inside the tank from leaking out when the air-controlled sand valve is dismantled, avoiding the need to clean after sand discharge, saving maintenance time, and preventing waste of production time.
