ATEX Certification Application
The EU has restricted the issuance of ATEX certification to only be conducted by its notified bodies to control the safety performance of explosion-proof equipment.
Currently, there were 24 notified bodies involved in the ATEX Directive.
As of May 21, 2014, 67 European institutions have received authorization from the EU announcement.
Commonly compared ATEX notified bodies include TÜV Süddeutschland, TÜV Nord, TÜV Rheinland, DNV, BV, QS, DEKRA, EUROFINS, UL, CSA, ECM, etc.

Domestic explosion-proof certification cannot be directly converted to the international IECEx certification. This is because the Chinese explosion-proof certification standard GB/T3836 is essentially a direct citation of the gup ji IECEx explosion-proof certification standards (IEC60079). Therefore, having a NEPSI certification does not allow for direct conversion to an IECEx certification either.

Which certifications are the explosion-proof ATEX and IECEx certifications from?
ATEX certification is a mandatory certification for explosion-proof products in the EU, part of the CE certification's explosion directive, and applies to the EU and regions. IECEx is the international certification system for explosion-proof electrical products by the International Electrotechnical Commission, which is voluntary and applicable to member countries of the IECEx system.
Most major economic powers globally are members of the IECEx system, including China.
