Anhui Tianming Cable Co., Ltd. offers the high-temperature resistant cable ZA-JGPVFPR, a silicone rubber insulated cable suitable for power transmission lines for fixed installations or connecting cables for mobile appliances at AC rated voltages of 0.6/1KV and below. The product features heat radiation resistance, cold resistance, resistance to acidic and alkaline substances and corrosive gases, and waterproofing. The cable structure is soft, easy to radiate, and maintains stable electrical performance in high (extreme cold) temperature environments. It exhibits excellent aging resistance and has a long service life. It is widely used in industries such as metallurgy, power, petrochemicals, electronics, and automotive manufacturing.
Silicone rubber properties
Silicone polymer molecules are chain structures connected by SI-O (silicon-oxygen) bonds. The SI-O bond energy is 443.5 KJ/MOL, significantly higher than the C-C bond energy (355 KJ/MOL). Due to its molecular structure, silicone rubber exhibits superior heat resistance, electrical insulation, and chemical stability compared to other general rubbers.
Typical silicone rubber, such as polydimethylsiloxane, features a helical molecular structure with relatively weak intermolecular forces, resulting in excellent resilience. Additionally, the methyl groups pointing outward from the helix can rotate freely, which endows silicone rubber with surface properties such as hydrophobicity and anti-adhesion.
Thermal Resistance: Silicone rubber exhibits superior heat resistance compared to ordinary rubber, allowing for almost indefinite use at 150 degrees Celsius without any performance degradation; it can be continuously used at 200 degrees Celsius for 10,000 hours; and it can also be used for a period of time at 350 degrees Celsius. Widely applied in scenarios requiring heat resistance: Thermos bottle seals, pressure cooker handles.
Cold resistance: Normal rubber has good elasticity at temperatures as low as -20°C to -30°C, while silicone rubber maintains it at -60°C to -70°C. Some special formulations of silicone rubber can withstand extremely low temperatures.
