Eligibility for CNAS Application:

Requirements for submitting a CNAS recognition application must include:

1. A system of documents established according to ISO/IEC17025:2017 is required, with a running time of 6 months from the date of issuance to the submission of the application.

2. Conduct internal audit and management review as scheduled

3. Participate in proficiency testing according to CNAS's proficiency testing rules and obtain a satisfactory proficiency testing report.

(Note: All three requirements must be fully met before the application can be submitted; otherwise, CNAS will not process it.)

4、 CNAS Accreditation Application Cycle: Approximately 12 months to pass CNAS on-site review

5. CNAS Certification Cycle: CNAS accreditation certificate to be issued within approximately 3 months after on-site audit.

Charging Requirements

6.1 Applicants or recognized organizations are obligated to pay the prescribed recognition fees to CNAS.

6.2 Applicants or recognized institutions shall pay the application fee when submitting formal recognition applications, re-evaluation applications, or expanded scope review applications to CNAS. Once the application fee is collected, it will not be refunded.

6.3 The applicant or recognized institution should pay the review fee after the evaluation.

6.4 Accredited bodies shall pay the annual fee for the previous year to CNAS quarterly.

6.5 The CNAS Secretariat notifies institutions of payment requirements via documents, emails, and other means.

Charging Items and Standards

5.1 Recognized charges include application fees (initial and expanded review), review fees (divided into document review and on-site review fees), and an annual fee.

5.2 The recognized charges are as follows:

Application Fee: $500.

Review Fee: RMB 2,400 per person per day.

Annual pension: $1,000.

5.3 The number of appraiser days is calculated in accordance with international practices and recognized regulations.

5.4 CNAS determines the number of person-days required for the assessment, based on the scale of the applicant or the recognized institution and the scope of the assessment, with the principle of ensuring the quality of the assessment work (for specific methods, refer to Appendix A: "Calculation Method for Assessment Person-days").

5.5 Travel expenses such as transportation and accommodation incurred during the CNAS recognition process shall be borne by the applicant or the recognized institution in accordance with international practice. Specific standards can be implemented as per the national regulations on travel expenses.

5.6 For applicants conducting qualified assessment activities overseas, specific charges and standards shall be negotiated and agreed upon by both parties in accordance with international practice and stipulated in the contract.
