The DS4-LEL Digital Combustible Gas Sensor is an intelligent digital output gas sensor by Germany's EC Sense, utilizing the catalytic combustion detection principle to measure the concentration of combustible gases in the environment.DS4-LEL is an industrial-grade intelligent combustible gas sensor featuring a compact, small-volume structure design. Standard Industrial Dimensions
Standard Series 4 industrial design dimensions, 20 x 16.6mm cylindrical housing, allowing for easy iteration design of new products. Suitable for fixed gas detectors and portable measuring instruments, it saves the cost of housing design for new product upgrades. Standard three-terminal tube dimensions (VCC 电源 positive, GND 电源 negative, IO 数据收发).
Factory pre-calibration
Each DS4 intelligent gas sensor undergoes professional gas calibration at the factory, with calibration information stored internally on the product's chip. Users can use the sensor directly without the need for additional gas calibration. The factory calibration employs a diffused gas calibration method and a simulated environmental climate calibration approach, which is more akin to the actual application environment at the user's site, enhancing the accuracy of the data obtained from gas detection instruments using diffused measurement (when gas detection instruments select the pump suction measurement method, a secondary calibration is required based on the design parameters of the instrument system).
No preheating required
Intelligent hardware design maintains gas sensors in an operational state even without power, ensuring immediate gas monitoring upon powering up anywhere, anytime. Whether in IoT applications or battery-powered scenarios, our energy-efficient and low-power design eliminates concerns about long preheating wait times and slow data acquisition.
User-defined encrypted code feature
Users can customize their own user codes for identification on the meter. When inserting other types, the meter can automatically verify if the user code is correct. For incorrect user codes, the meter can display an error message to remind users to insert the correct sensor.
Low-power sleep mode feature
The sensor features a sleep mode, allowing users to customize sleep and wake-up modes, suitable for low-power battery or IoT applications.
Self-identification feature
The DS4 sensor outputs identity information, such as gas type and detection range, which is conducive to designing self-identification functions and provides greater flexibility in use.
Convenient maintenance
Plug and Play, with live hot-plugging capability, an open calibration protocol, supporting offline recalibration for after-sales service, and a one-button factory reset calibration design. Plug and Play enables offline calibration, eliminating the need to bring hazardous gases into the detection environment for instrument ventilation calibration, thus avoiding safety risks and environmental contamination, making maintenance safer, more convenient, and simpler.
