Cable recycling methods and introduction:
Mechanical Crushing and Separation Method
Mechanical crushing mainly includes two units: crushing and sorting. Waste cables are decomposed into particles of a certain size by the crushing unit, and then the copper and plastic are separated by the sorting unit to obtain pure copper and plastic.
Scrap cables are conveyed to the primary crusher (triangular blade crusher) via a feeding conveyor belt. The primary crushed products are then magnetically separated to a separating screen, where larger particles are sent to copper rice crusher 1 and smaller particles to copper rice crusher 2. The crushed materials are then spirally conveyed to a vibrating screen, with a blower located at the bottom of the screen.
Materials are separated into four components by wind vibration: copper rice and plastic are collected separately, while the uncrushed particles and the mixture of copper rice and plastic are returned to the corresponding stages for recycling crushing and separation.

This method is widely used in factories for dismantling cables with large diameters. The working principle of the automatic cable stripping machine is shown in the following illustration: The right roller stepper motor drives the upper and lower right rollers to move the clamped cable left and right; the cutting blade stepper motor drives the upper and lower cutting blades to move in opposite directions, achieving the剥皮 and cutting functions by controlling the displacement between the upper and lower cutting blades.
The left roller stepper motor drives the upper and lower left rollers to move the clamped workpiece line left and right; the helical roller stepper motor drives the upper and lower left rollers to move forward and backward in the opposite direction, achieving the helical function. Physically, the helical roller and the left roller refer to the same roller.
This method demonstrates good effectiveness in disassembling large-diameter cables. However, due to its heavy reliance on manual labor, it has low production efficiency for medium and small-diameter cables, poor automation, and limited ability to sort cable types.




Section 3: Incineration Method
Incineration typically utilizes the flammability of the plastic in wires and cables to recycle the metal by burning. This is an early, primitive method of metal recycling that has been phased out!
The cable recycling process involves using specific techniques to separate the conductor from the sheath, followed by sorting technology to separate the conductor and sheath, resulting in relatively pure metals and plastics, thereby achieving resource utilization.
