Air electric heaters are devices used for heating air. In ventilation and air conditioning systems, hot water, steam, or electrical energy are commonly used as the heat source.
In the air conditioning process, there are two scenarios for heating air: one is heating the air before water treatment, commonly used during low winter temperatures and referred to as primary heating or preheating. The purpose is to increase the enthalpy of fresh air and reduce humidity, enhancing the humidification capacity of outdoor air in the wastewater room to increase the fresh air percentage and meet hygiene requirements. The heater used is called a preheater, positioned at the outlet of the fresh air chamber. The other is heating the air after water treatment, known as secondary heating or reheating. Its primary purpose is to compensate for insufficient heat in the workshop. The heater used is called a reheater, typically installed after the water spray chamber's water shield. Although both preheaters and reheaters are used for heating air, their functions are not entirely the same; they should not be confused or substituted for each other, as doing so would alter the workshop air conditions.
Electric heaters and direct combustion air heaters are categorized by different heat sources and heating methods.
