Description

Vertical Sewage Pump
Waste water pumps are categorized based on their discharge methods, including self-priming pumps, submersible pumps, knife-plate pumps, and automatic mixing pumps. Vertical waste water pumps feature a special single or double-blade impeller design, significantly enhancing the ability to pass debris. They can effectively pass fibers up to five times the pump's diameter and solid particles with a diameter about 50% of the pump's diameter. These vertical pumps are both portable and can be fixed, suitable for agricultural irrigation, wastewater extraction and conveyance in industrial and commercial processes. Beyond输送污水, they are also used as drainage pumps, pulp pumps, and irrigation pumps. Applications include: industrial wastewater discharge, urban sewage treatment plant discharge systems, subway, basement, and civil defense system drainage stations, hotel and high-rise building wastewater discharge, residential area wastewater drainage stations, municipal engineering, construction site slurry discharge, waterworks supply systems, and rural irrigation.

In most centrifugal pumps, power increases as flow rate rises; thus, the power curve is a rising line with increasing flow rate, which poses a challenge for pump operation: when the pump is operating at the designed operating point, its power is typically below the motor's rated power, making the pump operation safe. However, as pump head decreases, flow rate increases (as indicated by the pump performance curve), and so does power. When flow rate exceeds the designed operating point and reaches a certain level, the pump's input power may surpass the motor's rated power, leading to motor overload and potential burnout. Overload operation can either trigger a protective system to stop the pump or result in a failed protection system causing motor burnout. Pumps often operate below the designed head, which is a common occurrence. One situation is that the pump head is oversized during selection, and the pump operates at a reduced head. Another is that the operating point of the pump is difficult to determine during use, meaning the flow rate often requires adjustment. Lastly, pumps may need to be frequently moved to different locations for operation.
1. Compact structure with minimal land footprint. Waste pumps can be directly installed in the sewage pond as they operate submerged in the liquid, eliminating the need for a pump house. This saves a significant amount of land and construction costs.
2. Easy installation and maintenance. Small effluent pumps can be installed freely, while large effluent pumps typically come with automatic coupling devices for easy automatic installation. Both installation and maintenance are quite convenient.
3. Long continuous operation time. The sewage pump, with the pump and motor on the same shaft and a short shaft, has lightweight rotating parts, resulting in relatively smaller loads (radial) on the bearings, thus offering a much longer lifespan than general pumps.
For indoor sewage pools (collecting wells) with a submersible sewage pump exceeding 80kg in weight, a hoist hook should be pre-buried in the floor or beam above the inspection hole to facilitate the lifting of the submersible sewage pump during installation and maintenance.
4) In accordance with the current provisions of the "Specification," except for the mobile installation hose connections which use fabric-reinforced rubber hoses, the discharge pipe material for the submersible sewage pump can be rigid water supply plastic pipe, centrifugal casting ductile iron water supply pipe, steel pipe, steel-plastic composite pipe, etc. The pressure-bearing capacity of the pipe material and fittings should not be less than 0.6 MPa.
5) The installation method for the submersible sewage pump used in the water collection pit of a building's fire elevator should be either two hard pipe connected fixed units or two fixed auto-transformer units. Additionally, the effective volume of the water collection pit should not be less than 2.0 m³, and the rated flow rate of the submersible sewage pump should not be less than 36 m³/h.
