Operating Principle
When raw water containing hardness ions passes through the resin layer of the soft water tank, calcium and magnesium ions in the water are adsorbed by the resin, while sodium ions are exchanged and released. The water flowing out of the soft water tank is softened water. After the resin adsorbs a certain amount of calcium and magnesium ions, saturated brine must be used to displace the calcium and magnesium ions in the resin, restoring the resin's exchange capacity. This process is known as regeneration. An automatic softener achieves this process through control methods such as time and flow rate.
