Product Introduction:
Tumble dryer, also known as a drum dryer, is a drying equipment widely used in mining equipment. It is divided into direct heat transfer drum dryer and indirect heat transfer drum dryer.
Operating Principle:
Dry wet materials are conveyed to the hopper by a belt conveyor or a bucket elevator, then fed into the charging end through a charging pipeline by the hopper's feeding mechanism. The slope of the charging pipeline must be greater than the natural angle of repose of the material to ensure smooth flow into the dryer. The dryer cylinder is a rotating cylinder slightly inclined from the horizontal line. Materials are added from the higher end, while the heat carrier enters from the lower end, contacting the materials in a countercurrent manner; some heat carriers also enter the cylinder in parallel with the materials. As the cylinder rotates, materials are moved by gravity to the lower end. During their forward movement within the cylinder, wet materials receive direct or indirect heating from the heat carrier, enabling drying. Then, they are discharged at the outlet end via a belt conveyor or a screw conveyor. Scraper blades are mounted on the inner wall of the cylinder to lift and scatter the materials, increasing the contact surface area with the airflow and thereby enhancing the drying rate and promoting material flow. Heat carriers are typically hot air, flue gas, etc. After passing through the dryer, a cyclone separator is generally required to collect the material carried by the gas. To further reduce dust content in the exhaust gas, it should pass through a bag dust collector or a wet dust collector before being released.
