Overview
The MGG/KL-S series ultrasonic flow meters utilize low voltage and the principle of multi-pulse time difference, employing high-precision and ultra-stable dual-balanced signal differential transmission and differential reception digital verification technology to measure the sound wave transmission time in both forward and reverse flow directions. The flow velocity is calculated based on the time difference, featuring good stability, minimal zero-point drift, high measurement accuracy, wide range ratio, and strong anti-interference capability.
Operation Principle
When an ultrasonic beam propagates through a liquid, the liquid flow causes minor changes in the propagation time, which is directly proportional to the liquid's flow velocity. At zero flow, the time required for both sensors to emit and receive sound waves is the same (a technique to actually measure zero flow can be used), and when the liquid is flowing, the transmission time of sound waves in the upstream direction is greater than that in the downstream direction.
The relationship conforms to the following expression:

θ is the angle between the acoustic beam and the liquid flow direction. M is the number of straight-line propagation times of the acoustic beam in the liquid.
D = inner diameter of the pipe; Tup = propagation time of the beam in the positive direction
Tdown represents the propagation time of the acoustic beam in the opposite direction, ΔT = Tup - Tdown.
