Appearance: Solid product is white granular or blocky. Properties: This product is a white crystalline substance that reacts easily with water, is insoluble in alcohol, and its aqueous solution is acidic. The dehydration temperature is 86.5℃, it loses crystalline water when heated to 250℃, and anhydrous aluminum sulfate begins to decompose at 300℃. The anhydrous substance is a white crystal with a pearl-like luster.

Anhydrous aluminum sulfate applications: Mainly used in paper mills as sizing agent, in water treatment plants and factories for water supply and wastewater treatment as a flocculant, and in gemstone production along with other aluminum salt raw materials. Additionally, it is often used as a clarification agent, deodorant in oil extraction, as a decolorizing agent, concrete waterproofing agent, paper bleaching, post-film treatment for titanium dioxide, and in the production of catalyst carriers.

Method of manufacturing liquid aluminum sulfate, where aluminum hydroxide and a mixture containing 60% to 80% (by weight) of alumina are stirred together, followed by reaction with 98% to 105% (by weight) sulfuric acid. The ratio of aluminum hydroxide to sulfuric acid to water is generally 1:1.2 to 2:0.9 to 1.5. The substance is effectively separated into solid and liquid, removing excess impurities, with the filtrate being free of iron and iron ion content below 100ppm.

Handling and Storage Precautions:

Airtight operation with local exhaust ventilation. Operators typically need to be knowledgeable about this professional knowledge and must operate strictly according to instructions. It is recommended that operators wear a dust mask, safety goggles, protective clothing against toxic substances, and rubber gloves to avoid harm caused by dust. This prevents direct contact with chemicals. During manual handling, handle with care to prevent damage to packaging. Additionally, a leak emergency device should be equipped. There may be residues left in the container after pouring.

Storage Precautions: Keep aluminum sulfate without iron in a well-ventilated area. Keep away from any sources of ignition. Store separately from oxidizers; do not mix together completely. The storage area should be equipped with suitable materials for containing spills.
