The rotating compensator is a new type of compensator for thermal expansion in thermal pipelines. The construction of the rotating compensator mainly consists of components such as a complete sealing base, sealing cover, reducers, friction-reducing thrust bearings, sealing materials, and a rotating cylinder. It needs to be assembled into two or more sets for installation on the thermal pipeline, forming a relative rotation to absorb the thermal displacement of the pipeline, thereby reducing the pipeline stress.
Advantages of the Rotating Compensator:
(1) Large compensation capacity, adaptable to natural terrain and pipeline strength, with a single compensator able to accommodate an 800m pipeline section.
(2) No blanking force generated by medium pressure, the fixed bracket can be made very small, especially suitable for large-diameter pipelines.
(3) Excellent sealing performance, no need for maintenance during long-term operation.
(4) Significant investment savings;
(5) Easy design calculations
(6) The rotary compensator can be installed on steam and hot water buried pipelines, significantly saving investment and enhancing operational safety.
Swivel compensators are typically installed in sets of 150-500m on pipelines (depending on natural terrain), and there are over ten different installation options, which can be determined based on the pipeline's direction. With the use of this type of compensator, the spacing between fixed supports is increased, and additional guide supports should be appropriately added to avoid pipe segment bending. To reduce the friction resistance of the pipe segment operation, rolling supports should be installed on the sliding supports.
