A rotating compensator is a new type of compensator for thermal expansion in heating pipelines. The construction of the rotating compensator mainly consists of components such as an integral sealing base, a sealing cover, reducing joints, friction-reducing locating bearings, sealing materials, and a rotating cylinder. It needs to be installed in pairs or more on the heating pipeline to form a relative rotation that absorbs the thermal displacement of the pipeline, thereby reducing the pipeline stress.
Advantages of the rotary compensator:
(1) Large compensation capacity; can be arranged based on natural terrain and pipeline strength; a set of large compensator can compensate for 800m of pipeline.
(2) No blind flange force generated from medium pressure, the fixed bracket can be made very small, particularly suitable for large-diameter pipelines.
(3) Excellent sealing performance; requires no maintenance during long-term operation.
(4) Significant investment savings;
(5) Easy design calculations
(6) Swivel compensators can be installed on steam and hot water buried pipelines, significantly reducing investment costs and enhancing operational safety.
Rotary compensators are typically installed in sets of 150 to 500 meters on pipelines (can be determined based on natural terrain), with over a dozen installation options, which can be determined according to the pipeline's direction. After using this type of compensator, the spacing between fixed supports is increased, and additional guide supports should be appropriately added to avoid pipeline bending. To reduce frictional resistance during pipeline operation, roller supports should be installed on sliding supports.
