Cautionary Notes for Handling and Transportation of Bulk Bags
Do not stand underneath the bulk bags during hoisting operations.
2. Please hang the hook in the center of the sling or rope, avoiding slanting, one-sided lifting, or diagonal tensioning of the container bag.
3. Do not rub, snag, or collide with other items or the container bag during handling.
Do not pull the straps outward in a reverse direction.
5. When using a forklift for handling bulk bags, please do not let the forks come into contact or pierce the bag to prevent puncturing the bulk bag.
Use of Bulk Bags
① Filling. First, hang the lifting ring of the bulk bag symmetrically on the cross beam of the filling machine, ensuring the bottom of the bag is roughly in contact with the ground. Then, open the filling port of the bulk bag, place it over the filling cylinder, and secure it with the clamping device to prevent dust or particles from escaping. Start the filling machine to pour the raw material into the bag through the filling port. Straighten the bag first before filling. After filling, close the filling port. If using a bulk bag with a discharge port, check if the bottom is properly sealed before filling.
② Loading. Hang the lifting rings of the bulk bags evenly on the lifting device. Depending on the type of bulk bag and the loading weight, forklifts, cranes, and hoists can be used. If using a forklift to lift the bulk bags, adjust the blade to the correct position, ensuring the bags are tightly against the forklift and not tilted forward. To maintain balance of the bag's center of gravity during lifting, avoid hanging from a single ring. Then, slowly lift the bulk bags using the lifting device, placing them evenly and flat on the train (or truck) deck once at a certain height. If immediate loading and transportation are not required, stack them neatly and consistently on the work site. During lifting and stacking, avoid pressing against each other, tilting, or colliding.
③ Storage. Ideally, after the bulk bags are loaded with materials, they should be transported immediately. However, if circumstances require otherwise and they cannot be shipped immediately, to prevent material damage, the bulk bags should be stored in a warehouse. The surrounding environment should be kept away from water, steam, humidity, and high-temperature sources. If stored outdoors, in addition to meeting the above environmental conditions, it is also important to cover them with a tarpaulin and avoid direct sunlight.
④ Unloading. Lift the bulk bags with a forklift or crane, align them with the opening of the hopper or other container. Untie the bottom opening rope of the bag, and the raw materials will fall out automatically, completing the unloading process. For single-use bulk bags, puncture the bottom from a distance using an appropriate tool to unload. Avoid standing under the bulk bags during the lifting and unloading operation.
