H13 mold steel is a widely used representative alloy tool steel among hot working molds, with similar applications to 9CrWMn mold steel. It complies with the GB/T1299-2000 standard for alloy tool steels, which are formed by adding alloy elements to carbon tool steel. It exhibits excellent comprehensive properties at medium temperatures (~600°C), high hardenability (can be hardened in air), low deformation rate during heat treatment, and superior performance and service life compared to 3Cr2W8V. However, due to its higher vanadium content, it outperforms 4Cr5MoSiV steel in medium temperature (600°C) properties.
