KPI acid-resistant mortar is made of potash silicate (potassium silicate) as the binder, also known as potash silicate acid-resistant mortar. It is a silicate acid-resistant and heat-resistant material composed of alumina-silicate powders and aggregates, along with a small amount of auxiliary materials (the hardener is mixed with the powder). The product is two-component, consisting of a mixture of potash silicate (potassium silicate) and potash silicate mortar (or mortar mix or concrete mix). Depending on the application, it can be formulated into acid-resistant and heat-resistant mortar, mortar mix, or concrete mix. The reaction rate of potash silicate with the hardener exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in water, neutral media, and dilute acid, with superior performance in resisting sulfuric acid, acetic acid, and phosphoric acid compared to sodium silicate.
Acid-resistant mud material has been tested biologically by the health department and confirmed to be non-toxic before and after reaction. Potassium silicate material can be directly in contact with materials such as cement base, brick masonry, steel base, and wood.
Product Features:
Excellent acid resistance: Resistant to most inorganic acids, organic acids, acidic salts, and various oxidizing media.
Excellent heat resistance: Suitable for working environments up to 900°C
High bonding strength: Excellent bond with concrete, acid-resistant brick panels, granite, and cast stone
The product is in a two-component form: easy to use, long shelf life, easy to transport; can be processed and cured at room temperature.
