T-40 | 1. Easily soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, and various other solvents; insoluble in both animal and mineral oils. Used as an O/W emulsifier, solvent, stabilizer, dispersant, antistatic agent, and lubricant. |

Used as a softener and antistatic agent in the textile industry, it is a component of polypropylene nitrile spinning oil and a softener for fiber post-processing. It eliminates static electricity from the fibers, enhances their softness, and imparts excellent dyeing properties to the fibers. |

Used as a stabilizer and foaming aid in the production of polyurethane foam plastics; serves as an antistatic agent in synthetic fibers and as an intermediate in fiber oil additives; acts as a wetting and dispersing agent in the manufacturing of photographic film; effectively emulsifies silicone oil in fabric waterproofing processes; also used as an oil and water-soluble emulsifier for nylon and viscose cord yarns, often mixed with S-80. 3.
