A mechanical oil flow gauge is a high-precision volumetric flowmeter that displays the instantaneous and cumulative flow of diesel. The cumulative flow can be reset and can be used in conjunction with a PLC quantitative control system for precise control. This flowmeter offers more stable performance and accuracy compared to standard electronic flowmeters, with a longer service life. Once properly installed according to specifications, the diesel flow gauge ensures sufficient accuracy during use, typically achieving a cumulative value accuracy of 0.5 grade, making it a relatively accurate flow measurement instrument.
Installation Environment Requirements for Mechanical Oil Gauges:
1. Opt for locations with minimal dust, no corrosive gases, minimal vibration, and a considerable distance from heat sources whenever possible.
2. Flowmeter installation environment temperature is -15 to 40°C.
Mechanical oil gauges are categorized into vibration-resistant and vibration-proof models. The vibration-resistant models feature a spiral spring tube and case filled with high-viscosity mineral oil, which acts as a damper to reduce pointer vibration and enhance resistance to vibration. This minimizes pointer tremors. Mechanical oil gauges integrate level detection and display in one unit, eliminating the need for external devices. They can directly display level output signals. Optional, they can output 9 resistance signals. Resistance ranges can be customized according to customer requirements. High and low level alarm functions can be added as needed.
Mechanical oil gauge installation technical requirements:
1. The elliptical gear flowmeter has no specific requirements for the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections. It can be installed horizontally or vertically. During installation, the rotation axis of the flowmeter's elliptical gears should be parallel to the ground.
2. During on-site installation, pay attention to the arrow direction on the flowmeter housing, which should align with the flow direction of the fluid.
3. The fluid being tested should not contain any particles or impurities; otherwise, a filter must be installed before the flow meter's inlet. If the fluid contains a large amount of debris, the filter diameter should be one size larger than the standard or a parallel double filter should be installed. If gas is present, an exhaust device should be installed.
4. The fluid being tested should fill the measuring chamber of the flow meter and its connecting pipes before and after. If the fluid contains gas, a gas separator should be installed before the flow meter and filter.
5. The flow meter is installed on a pipe with a nominal inner diameter identical to that of its inlets and outlets. When connecting the pipe to the flow meter, the sealing parts should not protrude into the fluid.
6. For continuous-running pipelines, a bypass pipeline should be installed when the flow meter is mounted on a horizontal pipe to facilitate cleaning and maintenance. When the flow meter is mounted on a vertical pipe, it should be installed in the bypass pipeline to prevent debris from falling into the instrument. When the fluid flows from bottom to top, the vertical pipe above the flow meter should be as short as possible to minimize sedimentation of impurities in the upper piping.
The mechanical fuel gauge is a traditional type that senses the oil level inside the fuel tank through an oil float and a pull cord, which then feeds back to the dashboard to display the remaining fuel level via a pointer. The mechanical fuel gauge operates without power and can be customized with high and low level alarm features as needed by the customer. It is a simple tool for detecting hydraulic system pressure, featuring a hollow spring tube bent into an arc, a pull rod, a rack, gears, a pointer, and a buffer mechanism inside. When measuring oil pressure with the mechanical fuel gauge, it should be kept in a vertical position with the line of sight perpendicular to the gauge face to accurately read the pressure value.
