Concept Introduction
Poly(vinylidene fluoride), abbreviated as PVDF, combines the properties of both fluorinated resins and general resins. In addition to its excellent resistance to chemical corrosion, high temperature, oxidation, weathering, and radiation, it also possesses piezoelectric, dielectric, and thermoelectric properties. It is the second-largest product in the fluorinated plastics market, with a global annual production capacity exceeding 53,000 tons.
Main Application
PVDF is primarily applied in the petrochemical, electronic electrical, and fluorocarbon coating industries. Due to its excellent chemical resistance, processability, and fatigue and creep resistance, PVDF is one of the materials used in the overall fluid handling systems or linings of pumps, valves, pipes, pipeline fittings, storage tanks, and heat exchangers in petrochemical equipment.PVDF plastic powderExcellent chemical stability and electrical insulation properties make the equipment meet TOCS and flame-retardant requirements, widely used in the storage and transportation of high-purity chemicals in the semiconductor industry. Porous membranes, gels, and diaphragms made from PVDF resins are applied in lithium secondary batteries, and this application has become one of the fastest-growing markets for PVDF demand. PVDF is one of the main raw materials for fluorocarbon coatings, and the fluorocarbon coatings prepared from it have developed to the sixth generation. Due to the strong weather resistance of PVDF resins, they can be used outdoors for a long time without maintenance, and these coatings are widely used in power stations, airports, highways, high-rise buildings, and more. Additionally, PVDF resins can be blended and modified with other resins, such as PVDF with...ABS ResinBlended composite materials, widely used in construction, automotive decoration, and home appliance casings.
