Concept Introduction
HDPE is a white powder or granular product, non-toxic and odorless, with a crystallinity of 80% to 90% and a softening point of 125 to 135°C; it can withstand temperatures up to 100°C. It has higher hardness, tensile strength, and creep resistance than low-density polyethylene. It also boasts good wear resistance, electrical insulation, toughness, and cold resistance. It has excellent chemical stability and is insoluble in any organic solvent at room temperature, as well as resistant to acids, bases, and various salts.
Primary Use
HDPE Plastic PowderUsed for extruding packaging film, ropes, woven bags, fishing nets, water pipes; injection molding of low-end daily commodities and shells, non-bearing components, plastic boxes,周转boxes; extrusion blow molding containers, hollow products, bottles.
Cautionary Notes
The film has low permeability to moisture vapor and air, and low water absorbency; it has poor aging resistance and is less resistant to environmental stress cracking than low-density polyethylene.Plastic PowderEspecially, the thermal oxidation process can degrade its performance, thus antioxidants and UV absorbers should be added to the resin to improve this deficiency. High-density polyethylene film has a lower thermal deformation temperature under stress, so caution is needed during use.
Poor mechanical properties, poor breathability, prone to deformation and aging, easy to become brittle, brittleness lower than PP, prone to stress cracking, low surface hardness, susceptible to scratching. Difficult to print; surface discharge treatment is required during printing. Not suitable for electroplating; lacks luster.
