Concept Introduction
As a thermoplastic foam plastic, it has undergone a long development process. In 1930, suspended PS was introduced; in 1943, the American DOW Chemical Company was the first to mass-produce PS foam plastic; in 1949, Japan successfully developed XPS foam plastic and used it for product packaging; and in 1952, EPS products first appeared at the German Plastic Trade Fair.
Primary Use
Broadly used as thermal insulation, soundproofing, and vibration-damping materials for construction, ships, automobiles, trains, refrigeration, and freezing applications.
