What level of sealing can the HEROSE safety valve achieve? HEROSE ensures sealing according to API 527 requirements up to 90% of the set pressure. Afterward, the safety valve's disc starts floating on the seat until the safety valve emits an opening sound. Due to external factors (vibration, temperature rise), the safety valve may open prematurely. Therefore, HEROSE recommends limiting the working pressure to 85% of the safety valve's set pressure. This ensures the sealing of the low-temperature valve under all circumstances.
Safety valves are primarily used on boilers, pressure vessels, and pipeline equipment to ensure that the system does not suffer accidents due to excessive pressure, playing a crucial protective role in equipment operation and the safety of personnel.
Safety valves are primarily widely used in: steam boilers, liquid...lFossillOil and Gas Tank Trucks or VesselslFossillOil and gas rail tank cars, oil wells, high-pressure by-passes for steam power equipment, pressure pipes, pressure vessels, etc.
Safety valves are mainly categorized into three types: spring-loaded, lever-actuated, and pilot-operated. Spring-loaded valves rely on the force of the spring to seal the valve disc against the seat; lever-actuated valves are powered by the leverage and weight of a hammer; pilot-operated safety valves are designed to meet high-capacity requirements and consist of a main safety valve and an auxiliary valve, forming a pulsating safety valve. When the medium pressure inside the pipeline exceeds the specified pressure, the auxiliary valve opens first, allowing the medium to flow along the conduit into the main safety valve, which then opens, enabling an increase in pressure to be relieved.lReduced medium pressure.

(1) The bore of the connecting pipe and fittings between the safety valve and the boiler or pressure vessel must not be smaller than the inlet cross-sectional area of the safety valve; if several safety valves share a common inlet pipe, the cross-sectional area of the inlet pipe must be at least the sum of the inlet cross-sectional areas of the safety valves.
(2) Generally, shut-off valves should not be installed between safety valves and the steam drums or headers of boilers, nor should pipes for extracting steam be installed. It is generally not advisable to install shut-off valves or other extraction pipes between safety valves and pressure vessels; for containers containing substances with extremely high, high, or moderate toxicity levels, it is easylPressure vessels containing flammable, corrosive, adhesive, or valuable media may be equipped with a stop valve between the safety valve and the pressure vessel only after approval by the technical person in charge of pressure vessels at the using unit and after implementing reliable preventive measures. During normal operation of the pressure vessel, the stop valve must remain fully open and be sealed with lead or locked. The design and diameter of the stop valve should not hinder the safe release of the safety valve.
