A variety of vibration and noise can affect the surrounding environment, harm human health, damage buildings, and reduce the accuracy of mechanical equipment, particularly disrupting the operation of valuable instruments. Moreover, the vibration itself can cause damage to the machine, shortening its lifespan. Therefore, isolating vibration using elastic elements and preventing its transmission is an ideal method to eliminate vibration and protect the environment, buildings, and mechanical equipment.
Our damper design incorporates the characteristics of steel spring dampers, overcoming the resonance phenomenon that occurs when the damping ratio is low. It can protect the isolation efficiency from decreasing when the damping ratio is increased to 0.15-0.18 (with a higher damping ratio of 0.085). Thus, our damper combines the low-frequency characteristics of steel spring dampers with the high damping ratio of rubber dampers, eliminating the resonance phenomenon unique to steel springs. This ensures minimal vibration (amplitude A=0.01mm) during equipment operation from start to stop, with a stopping time of 1.6 seconds. After installing the damper, the equipment can quickly bypass the resonance zone during start-up and shutdown, maintaining balance without swaying. The isolation efficiency is ≥85%, allowing the damper to support the total weight of the equipment without the need for a large concrete base. It can be installed on the ground, floors, or platforms, and does not require anchor bolts, significantly reducing installation time. It is a simple, moderately priced, and versatile multi-functional damping spring suspension damper.
Our shock absorbers are made with 60Si2Mn spring steel, offering advantages such as fatigue resistance, high strength, large load-bearing capacity, and long service life.
