Vibration and noise can affect the surrounding environment, harm human health, damage buildings, and reduce the accuracy of machinery and equipment, particularly disrupting the operation of valuable instruments. Moreover, the vibration itself can damage the machinery, shortening its lifespan. Therefore, using elastic elements to isolate vibration and prevent its transmission is an ideal method to eliminate vibration, protect the environment, buildings, machinery, and equipment.
Our damper design incorporates the characteristics of steel spring dampers, overcoming the resonance phenomenon that occurs when the damping ratio is low. It ensures that the isolation rate does not decrease when the damping ratio is increased to 0.15-0.18 (for a higher damping ratio of 0.085). Therefore, our damper, with the low-frequency characteristics of steel spring dampers, provides isolation effects for high, medium, and low-frequency disturbances while also having the high damping ratio characteristic of rubber dampers. This allows for the elimination of the unique resonance phenomenon of steel springs, protecting the equipment from vibration (amplitude A=0.01mm) during start-up to shutdown, with a shutdown time of 1.6 seconds. After installing the damper, the equipment can quickly bypass the resonance zone during start-up and shutdown without swaying, achieving an isolation effect of ≥85%. This damper does not require a large concrete base, can bear the total weight of the equipment, and can be installed on the ground, floors, or platforms without the need for anchor bolts, significantly reducing the equipment installation time. It is a simple, moderately priced, and economically reasonable multi-functional universal damping spring hanger damper.
Our vibration dampers are equipped with 60Si2Mn spring steel springs, which offer advantages such as fatigue resistance, high strength, great load-bearing capacity, and long service life.
