Ripe tung oil

Material Processing: Wood is cleaned and leveled, moisture content not exceeding 15%.

Application Method: Recommend brushing at temperatures above 5°C; if the product has high viscosity, add 10% by volume. Thin with turpentine and mix thoroughly. It can be dipped, brushed, sprayed, rolled, or wiped on. Suitable for all visible oil-based color card systems if additional pigment is needed.

Application Area: Theoretical coverage is 16-19㎡ per liter (one coat), wood absorption varies, resulting in different consumption.

Drying Time: Surface dry in 3-6 hours, fully dry in 12-24 hours.

Ripened tung oil is derived from the seeds of the tung tree, which are first pressed to produce raw tung oil. The raw tung oil is then refined and polymerized at high temperatures to create a drying oil, known as ripe tung oil.
