Product Overview
The DS4 smart sensor from Germany's EC Sense utilizes reliable printed solid-state polymer electrochemical sensor technology, making it an industrial-grade intelligent gas sensor.Compact structure with small volume, featuring a high-performance microprocessor, a high-precision analog-to-digital converter, and intelligent algorithm design, easily integrates into the Internet of Things and other monitoring systems, widely used in industrial, commercial, civilian, and medical fields.
Product Features
Standard Industrial Dimensions
Standard industrial 4 series dimensions, 20 x 16.6mm cylindrical housing, allowing for easy iteration design of new products. Suitable for fixed gas detectors and portable detection instruments, it saves the cost of housing design for new product upgrades. Standard three-electrode pin size (VCC_positive power, GND_negative power, IO_data transmission/reception).
Life and Performance Testing
Intelligent gas sensor performance and lifespan self-check, performing regular self-assessment of lifespan and performance metrics regardless of the presence or absence of measured gas, and outputting warning signals to prompt sensor maintenance or replacement. This feature provides reliable basis data for intelligent instrument design, endowing gas detection instruments with safety, reliability, and remote maintenance capabilities. Users can obtain fault information such as normal sensor operation, weakened sensor performance, sensor failure, or detachment through commands, offering early warnings for sensor anomalies and enhancing safety guarantees.
Factory Pre-Calibration
Each DS4 intelligent gas sensor undergoes professional gas calibration at the factory, with calibration information stored on the product's internal chip. Users can use the sensor directly without the need for additional gas calibration. The factory calibration, utilizing diffused gas calibration and simulated environmental climate calibration methods, is more closely aligned with the actual application environment at the user's site, enhancing the accuracy of data obtained through diffused measurement (when the gas detection instrument uses a pump suction measurement method, a secondary calibration is required based on the design parameters of the instrument system).
No preheat required
Intelligent hardware design allows gas sensors to remain operational even without power, ensuring immediate gas monitoring upon powering up at any time and place. Whether in IoT applications or battery-powered scenarios, the energy-efficient and low-power design eliminates concerns about long preheating wait times and slow data acquisition.
User-Defined Encryption Code Feature
Users can customize their own user codes for identification on the meter. When inserting other types, the meter can automatically verify if the user code is correct. For incorrect user codes, the meter will display an error message to remind the user to insert the correct sensor.
Low-power sleep function
The sensor features a sleep mode, allowing users to customize sleep and wake-up modes, suitable for low-power batteries or IoT applications.
Self-identification feature
The DS4 sensor outputs identity information, such as gas type, detection range, etc., which facilitates the design of self-identification functions and enhances flexibility in use.
Simple and easy-to-use UART digital output
The DS4 sensor employs a UART 3.3V half-duplex single-bus output signal, eliminating the need for complex communication protocols. It directly outputs the gas concentration value, making it easy, quick, and flexible for secondary development application design.
Convenient maintenance
Plug and Play, with hot-pluggable capability, open calibration protocols, supporting offline recalibration for after-sales service, and a one-button factory reset design. Plug and Play achieves offline calibration, eliminating the need to bring hazardous gases into the testing environment for instrument aeration calibration, thus avoiding safety risks and environmental contamination, making maintenance safer, more convenient, and simpler.
