Principle of Inspection
Solid-state polymer electrochemical sensing technology represents an innovation in the field of electrochemical detection. This technology is based on the principle of electrochemical gas detection, measuring various gases that can be chemically decomposed. The sensor consists of three electrodes in contact with the electrolyte, with typical electrodes being composed of noble metals with large surface areas and other materials. The electrodes, electrolyte, and surrounding air come into contact, and gases diffuse into the sensor's working electrode through the backside of a porous membrane. On this electrode, the gases are oxidized or reduced, causing an electrical current to flow through the external circuit.
