Usage

Carboxymethyl-β-cyclodextrin has low solubility in solutions with a low pH, but in neutral and alkaline solutions (pH>4), due to the dissociation of the carboxyl groups, it can be dissolved at any concentration, and its structure becomes loose, significantly improving its flowability.

Excellent solubility in the pH 6-7 environment of the human intestinal tract, suitable for use in sustained-release dosage forms, and exhibits lower hemolytic activity than HP-β-CD.
