Types and Characteristics of Packaging Materials
Natural Intestine Casings: Made from the intestines of goats, sheep, pigs, and cows, these casings offer excellent smoke permeability, breathability, and elasticity. They are edible and suitable for smoking, drying, and steaming.
Collagen Intestine: Made from bovine collagen, offering good smoke permeability, breathability, and mechanical strength. Uniform specifications, suitable for mechanized production and stamping.
Cellulose Intestine: Directly blown from cellulose adhesive, breathable and waterproof, suitable for high-speed automated production, but not for consumption.
Plastic casing: Includes polyvinylidene chloride and nylon casings, primarily used for steam-cooked products, offering properties that block air and water permeation but are not edible.
